Responsible Trading

Last updated: March 9, 2026

Risk Warning: Prediction market trading involves substantial risk of loss. You should only trade with funds you can afford to lose entirely. Past performance of markets is not indicative of future results. The value of positions can go down as well as up, and you may receive back less than you originally invested.

1. Understanding the Risks

Prediction markets allow you to take positions on the outcomes of real-world events. While they can be engaging and informative, it is important to understand the risks involved:

  • You can lose some or all of the money you deposit and trade on the platform.
  • Market prices are volatile and can change rapidly based on new information or participant sentiment.
  • Events may resolve in unexpected ways. Even markets with prices close to 0 or 100 can resolve contrary to expectations.
  • Liquidity conditions can vary. You may not always be able to sell your positions at desired prices.
  • Digital asset markets (USDC/USDT) carry their own risks, including potential depegging or regulatory changes.

2. Trading Responsibly

At OraclBet, we want your experience to be enjoyable and sustainable. Here are guidelines for responsible trading:

  • Set a budget: Before you start trading, decide how much you are prepared to risk and stick to that amount. Only use funds that you can afford to lose without impacting your financial wellbeing.
  • Do your research: Make informed trading decisions. Understand the events you are trading on and the factors that could influence outcomes.
  • Diversify positions: Avoid concentrating all your funds in a single market. Spreading your risk across multiple markets can help manage potential losses.
  • Take breaks: Step away from the platform regularly. Continuous trading can lead to fatigue and poor decision-making.
  • Avoid chasing losses: If you experience a loss, resist the urge to immediately trade more to recover it. Take time to reassess before placing additional trades.
  • Do not trade under the influence: Making trading decisions while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can impair judgment and lead to reckless behavior.
  • Keep records: Track your trading activity, including wins and losses. This helps you stay aware of your overall performance and spending.

3. Setting Limits

We encourage all users to set personal limits to manage their trading activity:

  • Deposit Limits: Set a maximum amount you will deposit within a given time period (daily, weekly, or monthly).
  • Loss Limits: Determine the maximum amount you are willing to lose before taking a break from trading.
  • Time Limits: Set a maximum amount of time per day or week that you will spend on the platform.
  • Position Size Limits: Limit the maximum amount you invest in any single market to avoid overexposure.

If you would like assistance setting account-level limits, please contact our support team at legal@oraclbet.com.

4. Recognizing Problem Trading

Trading can become problematic when it negatively affects your daily life, relationships, or financial stability. Warning signs include:

  • Spending more money or time on trading than you can afford.
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not trading or when trying to reduce trading activity.
  • Chasing losses by increasing trade sizes or frequency after losing.
  • Borrowing money or selling assets to fund trading activity.
  • Neglecting work, family, or personal responsibilities due to trading.
  • Lying to others about the extent of your trading or hiding losses.
  • Feeling the need to trade with increasing amounts to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Using trading as a way to escape problems or relieve feelings of helplessness, guilt, or depression.
  • Repeated unsuccessful efforts to control, cut back, or stop trading.

If you recognize any of these signs in yourself, we strongly encourage you to seek help and consider self-exclusion.

5. Self-Exclusion

If you feel that your trading has become problematic, you can request self-exclusion from OraclBet. Self-exclusion options include:

  • Temporary Cooldown: Suspend your account for a period of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. During this period, you will not be able to log in or place trades.
  • Extended Self-Exclusion: Suspend your account for 6 months or 1 year. This cannot be reversed until the period expires.
  • Permanent Closure: Permanently close your account. Any remaining funds will be returned to your designated withdrawal address.

To request self-exclusion, email legal@oraclbet.com with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" and specify the duration. We will process your request within 24 hours.
